How to Charge an Off-Stamp Vape
The X Cube kit charges over
USB-C. The port is on the battery unit, not the pod — remove the pod if you're unsure which end you're looking at.
- Plug a USB-C cable into the battery unit's port.
- Connect to a standard wall adapter or laptop port — not a fast-charge phone brick.
- The screen shows charging status. A full charge typically takes 45 to 90 minutes.
- Unplug when complete. Don't leave it charging overnight or unattended.
Charging without the original charger
Any standard USB-C cable works — the one from your phone, laptop, or tablet is fine. There's nothing proprietary about the connector. What matters is the cable's condition: a frayed or heavily worn cable often fails on low-draw devices even while it still charges a phone. If the device won't register, swap cables before assuming the device is faulty.
"Charging without a battery"
This search comes up constantly and rests on a misunderstanding worth clearing up:
there's no way to power an Off-Stamp pod without the battery unit. The pod contains e-liquid and a coil but no power source and no charging circuit — it's an inert cartridge until it's seated in a kit.
If your battery unit has failed, the fix is a replacement kit rather than a workaround. Attempts to power a pod directly with external batteries, phone chargers, or improvised wiring bypass every protection circuit in the device — lithium cells and unregulated current are a genuine fire risk, not a hypothetical one. Pod Error Type 3 and Other Faults

The most common Off-Stamp fault, and usually fixable. It means the battery unit isn't getting a clean electrical reading from the pod. Work through these in order:
- Reseat the pod. Remove it and push it back in until it clicks. Partial seating is the most frequent cause.
- Clean the contacts. Wipe the gold contact pins on both the pod base and inside the battery bay with a dry cotton swab. E-liquid residue builds up here and interrupts the connection — this fixes it most of the time.
- Power cycle. Turn the device off, wait 30 seconds, turn it back on.
- Charge it. A low battery can trigger read errors that look like pod faults.
- Test another pod if you have one. If a second pod works, the first one has failed. If neither works, the battery unit is the problem.
Users often report this appearing intermittently near the end of a pod's life, which is a sign the pod is genuinely finished rather than a device fault.
Turning it on and off
Five rapid clicks of the button powers the device on or off on most X Cube models. If nothing happens, charge it first — a flat battery won't respond to button input.
Leaking
